Chilgi was born from a quest to return to the essential: more natural forms of well-being, more connected to the root, to the origin and to the very creation of nature.

Along the way we rediscovered chilcuague (Heliopsis longipes) , a wild root traditionally known as Golden Root , used for centuries by the indigenous peoples of Mexico for its purifying, stimulating and protective properties.

Inspired by this ancestral knowledge, we work alongside harvesting families who understand and respect the natural cycle of this plant. The root is harvested responsibly in its wild and organic state, preserving both tradition and the balance of the land.
